A graphic designer for over 20 years, my passion for illustration started from a very early age, before I even started school. Inspired by cartoons and comics from the 80s, I made my first comic books and, when I could, I sold them at school. I just thought that work as an illustrator was far away and inaccessible for me.
However, I continued drawing more and more over the years until I started in Graphic Design area. And interestingly enough, a simple drawing helped me get my first job at a communications agency, remembering the same drawings I made as a child. It felt like I was in the right place.
Between drawings and clicking on graphic software, I discovered digital illustration and it opened even more doors. In each company I worked for, I left my "designer's mark", strengthening my confidence that one day I would find my dream career as an illustrator.
During the 2020 pandemic, when I was forced to stay at home, I had enough time to get rid of my stress and study illustration techniques and how to become a true professional. That was the step I needed to move forward.
Today, in addition to working as a designer, I also work with children's illustrations for books, magazines and digital content.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn about a small part of my professional history, and I hope that from now on we can create great things together.
